Long Week

This week has been a full and frenzied one, and it is good to be able to sit and write.  After researching seminaries and application processes, we discovered that Yale has an application deadline of next week, which we have no hope of making.  It didn't help their case that the application fee was triple the other ones and their tuition (even with their generous help) was by far the most expensive.  So now I'm down to two.  On the upside, a really nice couple from our church who have kids & grandkids in Austin have offered to meet us down there when we go for a seminary visit so they can watch the kids for us!
Tuesday night we had a wonderful birthday party for C.  Everyone brought trains and train tracks to set up.  I carved up a couple of cardboard boxes to make a train station, and K made a train cake for him.  He definitely turned four in high style! Wednesday morning (his actual birthday) I made him his breakfast request of dinosaur pancakes (?!), and he got his presents from us.
I am trying in what little spare time I have to prep for the GRE... I don't math and language skills will much improve by next Friday!
